We’re pleased to announce that Aria Digital has been awarded an Emerge Grant from the Eastern Michigan Small Business Network. This grant marks a significant step forward in our mission to make civic engagement easier by improving access to local government information for all residents.
We’d like to express our gratitude to the Eastern Michigan Small Business Network, The Underground, operated by the Economic Development Alliance of St. Clair County and supported by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), for their support and for recognizing our work. This award validates our commitment to addressing a real need within our communities.
Our Platform:
The idea came from a simple observation: getting information from local government can be surprisingly difficult. Whether it’s understanding local rules, figuring out taxes, accessing services, or participating in local decisions, many residents find the process confusing and time-consuming. This difficulty can lead to frustration and make it harder for people to feel connected to their representatives.
We believe that everyone should have easy access to government information. Our goal is to make this a reality. We’re developing a platform that uses cutting edge AI tech to provide residents with quick, accurate, and easy-to-understand answers to their questions about local government.
Imagine being able to simply ask a question about a local issue and get a clear answer instantly. Instead of searching through complicated websites or trying to understand government jargon, residents will be able to use our platform to get the information they need in plain, simple language.
This isn’t just about making things easier; it’s about empowerment. When information is readily available, residents can be more informed and more involved in their community. This can build trust in government and encourage more people to participate in civic life. For local governments, our platform can help streamline communication with residents, free up staff time, and provide valuable insights into what’s important to the community.
We’ve already made good progress in building this platform. We have a working model that shows how effective our approach can be in answering questions about government topics. The Emerge Grant will be incredibly helpful as we move forward.
Our next steps include making the platform even better based on feedback, adding more information to our system, and making sure it’s easy for everyone to use. We’re also planning to launch a pilot program in a Michigan community, to get real-world feedback and make sure we’re meeting the needs of residents.
This Emerge Grant will directly support these steps, allowing us to improve the platform and prepare it for wider use. We believe that making government information more accessible is an important area for innovation. By making it easier for residents to find the information they need, we hope to help create more informed, connected, and engaged communities.
